Creative Suitland BLOCK PARTY | with performance by Dior Ashley Brown and the Filthy Animals

In partnership with Better Block Foundation and Prince George’s Planning Department, Creative Suitland Arts Center celebrates the Better Block Suitland kick-off on the weekend of April 8-9, 2022. On Friday, April 8 from 5-9pm, join the BLOCK PARTY featuring outdoor creative play activities, a mobile Remix Rage Smash Room, food trucks, artisan vendors and a live performance by funk/hip-hop band, Dior Ashley Brown and the Filthy Animals.

Better Block Suitland is a neighborhood-led placemaking event that will help residents and small businesses get creative with their public space. Together we will create a safe, welcoming and creative space for all ages. This is a free community event, but guests are encouraged to register via Eventbrite.

Creative Suitland Arts Center, a project of Joe’s Movement Emporium, is an arts-based community development strategy to include residents and businesses in defining the cultural and creative spirit of greater Suitland area.

ABOUT THE PERFORMER:

Dior Ashley Brown and the Filthy Animals are a collective of outer space aliens creating a musical experience that blends hip hop, rnb, funk, jazz, soul and rock and roll - A big black and brown Chocolate City Sound with vibes to move your body and your mind while cleansing your spirit. Their monthly residency at Bossa Bistro and Lounge has attracted music lovers from all over the DMV to party and celebrate life and heal with music. Fronted by DC’s own Dior Ashley Brown, the energy is big and sure to rock the house.
