Repetition can be good for calming the mind. Through my artwork, I use repetition to emphasize emotions, thoughts and ideas. I work in different mediums, and love the journey of experimentation, but I believe that all of my pieces are all connected in their mission to exude a sense of belonging and affirmation. Langston Hughes said “Perhaps the mission of an artist is to interpret beauty to people—the beauty within themselves.” That quote informs a lot of what I am trying to achieve in my work. I often say that my work is like a love letter to black people, more specially black women. My work is also very inspired by music and nostalgia. With that in mind, I have room to be as expansive and multifaceted in each drawing, painting and everything in between, that I create.

French author, Andre Gide, once said, "Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better." My art is inspired by the Grand Creator and Supreme Artist. Using my God-given talent, in every piece, I aim to capture the perfection of His creations along with the imperfections which contribute to making us, and everything around us unique. My portraits reflect the exclusivity of the individual portrayed, their perfections and imperfections alike, and the soul that radiates from their eyes. My abstracts reveal the negatives and positives of our lives, which sometimes go unspoken or remain unseen by the majority. My goal is to communicate the lessons, trials, and triumphs we all experience as perfect creations amidst an imperfect society.

Jean-Michel Basquiat said I don’t listen to what art critics say. I don’t know anybody who needs a critic to find out what art is. I Tre Artz try my best everyday to create and build artifacts. So that my children’s children will forever have a piece of history and a legacy that can continue for ages to come. Also to help those with mental issues and understand it’s ok to express yourself. So everyday I try to create and be great.

Pronouns they,them,he. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, currently resides in the DMV area. A jack of all trades, from being a healer, community organizer,educator and candle maker and more.
Established in 2019, we are the first Black trans affirmative candle company. Our focus is the grounding, centering, and affirmation of all Black trans identities and expressions, uplifting the much needed healing we each deserve. Often we light candles in mourning and loss of our loved ones; We Live in Truth encourages lighting candles in celebration for recognizing our truth, everyday.

My "acrylic art with style" stems from my found love for marbling as a high school student combined with an appreciation for basic design and color theory as a former Fashion Design Student turned Fashion Merchandising and Management graduate. Fluid Art also known as Paint Pouring reminds me of a Marbleized Paper project I learned back in 12th grade. Since then, I have been marbleizing with my students as an Early Childhood Educator of 20 plus years and in the community prior to becoming an Independent Artist pre pandemic. I continue to pour today as a new Elementary Art Instructor.
My Fluid Art process includes tracking clothing, home fashions and color trends by-way-of PANTONE. I take a lot of inspiration from the color wheel and consider myself a Colorist with the intention to create with pallets that are complementary to one another. I also take into consideration how I layer colors, pour, or blow out a composition that will guide the viewer's eye. The combination of the two always invokes a mood or feeling.
