About H.A.T.S. O.F.F. to Artbae
On the surface, H.A.T.S. O.F.F. to Artbae is a vibrant, artistic hat party, but beneath the celebration lies a deeper mission.
H.A.T.S. O.F.F. stands for Helping Artists Thrive & Supporting Our Fellow Friends. Each hat represents a symbolic crown, honoring the dignity, resilience, and creativity of those who are often overlooked, especially our unhoused neighbors.
Guests are invited to wear a hat and bring a hat, which will be artistically adorned with affirmations and gifted to people experiencing homelessness through our community partners. In doing so, we honor them as kings and queens, affirming their worth and humanity.
This event is an artistic celebration where we “tip our hats” to the unhoused community and to the creatives whose work uplifts and inspires. Together, we transform fashion into a statement of compassion, crowning our city with creativity, care, and collective action.
Our spotlight advocacy organization for H.A.T.S. O.F.F. to Artbae is Sasha Bruce Youthwork, one of the largest and most trusted youth-serving organizations in the Washington, D.C. region. For over 45 years, Sasha Bruce has provided safe spaces, housing, mental health support, and workforce development for youth and families experiencing homelessness and crisis. We’ve been honored to partner with their youth at The REACH to run our Created2Create art therapy workshops, blending creativity with healing and empowerment. As part of our commitment, a portion of all event proceeds — along with hats adorned with affirmations collected during the soirée — will be donated to Sasha Bruce and our other community partners to uplift and directly support their vital work.
A portion of all donations made between now and September 30th, 2025 will directly benefit Sasha Bruce Youthwork!
