#Invited2theCookout Art Show & Block Party – a pop-up visual arts showcase & block party that infuses dope artistry, music, delicious eats and tasty treats in an effort to raise proceeds to help reduce homelessness and end domestic violence in the DMV!
In August 2022, Artbae launched their pilot workshops entitled Created2Create that consists of a series of guided, themed painting/art sessions for therapeutic recreation along with a "safe-space" art discussion led by of our in-house Artbae artists and involving participants of The Covenant House of Greater Washington DC and Safe Sisters Circle. The goal of the workshops is to provide art as therapy with the hope that our artists can impart wisdom within participants and encourage them to see themselves, their capacity, their futures, the world and others more positively.
The #Invited 2 the Cookout Art Show & Block Party serves as a culmination of the Created2Create program, and a portion of all proceeds from the event will be donated to both of the abovementioned participating organizations to support their programming and assist with their goals for the remainder of their fiscal year.

Special appearance by the 2022 Emerging Creative Award winning comedian Tommy Taylor Jr. and performance by local artist Hoodie!
